When I mention investing, is money the first thing you think of? If it is, that's great because for us to invest money, we must first have it, and to have it we must work to get it. So what type of work do you do to earn your money? Are you satisfied with your job? Do you think you should be doing something else that will be more engaging in your skill set? Do you love what you are doing in your current job? I think we all want to have that perfect job that we love to go to everyday where we will be engaged, challenged, and appreciated. If you haven't found that magical job yet, don't give up your pursuit.
So how have you invested in yourself to find that "dream job" that will allow you to jump out of bed and know you are going to make a difference while making the money you will need to provide food, shelter, and stability for you and your family? Are you taking any courses, reading books, talking with someone in that profession, or are you just sitting around complaining that you were not given the opportunity to succeed?
Investing in yourself should be your main priority because you are the only one who cares about you. Before you go out and start your own business or try to come up with the next big thing, consider three things. The first is, do you have that little voice inside of your head that says you are satisfied with the specific type of work that you are after? The next is, do others recognize your talents and suggest to you that you should follow that path in which you are seeking? Lastly, are you willing to knock down all barriers that will come along, while trying to achieve your goals? Now we move on to that financial peace to investing. Do you know what the commonalities are between the person who enjoys their job and the person who struggles to get through the day on their job? Both are employed and getting paid. Now what they do with their money, is all about the mindset in which they have. Matthew 25 from the Bible speaks of a man who entrusted his investment money to three of his servants. Two invested it wisely and returned with more money than was given to them and the third buried his, forfeiting any potential gain. In order to build wealth, strength, or talents you will need to invest. Investing allows you to have the potential to earn more than what you have been given. You might not be the smartest person on investing money into different things such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds or real estate, but by seeking help and educating yourself, it will allow you to grow your money, save for retirement, reach financial goals, and the all important reason, to stop the bill collectors from calling.
So do yourself a favor and stop complaining about what you don't have and go out and invest in yourself to find something that will delight not only you but others and find ways to invest your money wisely so it will grow. And if you don't know where to start, ask! #SPEAK2MYHEART
