These are lyrics from Charlie Wilson, "I'm Blessed." At the beginning of the song, Charlie stated how he knew God was real and he would pray and ask that he didn't die in the streets and if he could see to this then he would give a shout out to God prior to every performance. After attending two of his concerts, he has kept his promise.
When you are in the midst of hardship and turmoil, it's easy to think that nothing is going right and no one is there for you. We live in a world with less-than-perfect days and as we see now, unpredictable circumstances. There will always be ups and downs in our lives and as this year continues, we just think to ourselves, what's next. However, choosing to be thankful, changing our perspective, and shaping the way we see the world will allow you to be just like Charlie Wilson and be thankful for where we have come from and where we see ourselves going.
Whenever you start to get down, write a list of the things you are thankful for. It is always best to be thankful for what you have been blessed with and survived through.
