To have the title of King or Queen, I would think it is something that couldn't be taken lightly and should hold a special meaning. In order for you to be a King, you must be a male sovereign or monarch and given this position through heredity. The King is the chief authority over a country and people. They are tasked with protecting, increasing wealth, advancing cultural development, and in some cases a mediator to the people in which they serve. I, for one, would hope someone in such a position such as this would also be a good listener, reliable, fair, and of good character.
Although a woman can't be called a King, they have their own unique name to show their unique status, which is a Queen, and some countries have a Queen as their ruler, while others have women that are given this title because of their marital status to the King.
But what about the ordinary people who might call their significant other one of these names, or someone of the same nationality due to their cultural background or race? Do you think they hold those same people to the standards of those mentioned above? Well I would hope so, and not just a nickname they gave them because it was quaint or the word of the day.
So let's focus on these titles not in the sense of rulers of nations but of ordinary people. To be a great leader, you must first learn how to follow, listen, and humble yourself. If the person that you have given these titles too doesn't have qualities such as these, you might want to reconsider your choice of nicknames.
I read about a Great Britain man by the name of Paddy Doyle who did 1,750 push-ups in an hour and then documented 1,500,230 push-ups in a year, averaging over 4,000 push-ups a day. Through hard work and dedication, this man not only gained a rock hard physique but also a spot in the Guinness World Records. I for sure, will not attempt to break his record but his determination is what led him to this awesome accomplishment.
Just like those Kings and Queens that rule over nations Paddy Doyle realized, just as we should, that we are Kings and Queens of ourselves. The people that we are protecting, are our minds and the nation is our temple, which is our body. Reading, meditating, and goal setting are ways that we can preserve our minds and increase the knowledge so that we are able to make informed decisions about our lives. Exercising and eating right are ways we can protect ourselves from sickness, disease and danger so that we can remain healthy. So bring honor to your temple by releasing the anxiety, anger and stress that resonate within you and receive the acceptance and thanksgiving of the days you are fortunate to see.
We all have areas in our lives that we can improve, but knowing that we are all unique in our own ways should help you realize that you have a purpose and you should live with purpose as a King and Queen in which you are called to be! #SPEAK2MYHEART
